Why Government Regulations Hinder Rural Development!

I was reading the current issue of my GRM newsletter today and was upset with the way the FCC is trying to set a double standard for the rural areas of Iowa by setting a standard for broadband speed in rural areas that is slower than urban areas. All areas should have equal access to broadband if their suppliers are willing to provide that service. This is a devastating regulation for rural development  when small communities in rural areas are trying to compete for good, clean, high paying jobs with the bigger communities that surround them. I would urge you to contact Senator Harkin, Senator Grassley, Representative King, and Representative Loebsack and urge them to support regulatory action that ensures equal access to broadband for all Americans. If you would like to learn more about this issue, go to www.broadband.gov.
